Basildon: Grey belt housing accepted with Golden Rules package

Outline permission was granted for up to 40 homes on land after the Inspector found the site met the Framework definition of grey belt and that the proposal was not inappropriate development in the Green Belt. The decision applies paragraph 155 and the Golden Rules, including 50% affordable housing, local infrastructure contributions, public open space and RAMS mitigation for European sites.
